- It seems to me that project planning with MS Project 2007 is horribly broken. I get complete crashes and loss of work constantly. SInce a recent patch of Office 2007, it seems that to fix they problem they've completely removed the ability to use 2007 at all. Should I downgrade to 2003 If so, that's fine with me but I don't want to try just for the heck of it.

- Why isnt the object model for RDL exposed?

- MS Visual Studio report designer has a set of XML serialisable classes that it uses to aid the programmer in designing their report visually. These classes are then serialised to XML to give the resulting RDL document that is the report definition that the ReportViewer loads and renders.
My question is, why arent these classes exposed so that the programmer can make use of them.

- It seems that we cannot do anything in Visual Studio 2005 without surreptitiously going out to SourceSafe and churning for 3-5 minutes. Granted we have (unavoidably) made the mistake of placing the SourceSafe database on a network file share -- it does not explain these covert and constant SourceControl accesses.
For example, loading the project does something like "verifying source

- I use Visual Studio 2005 with Crystal Reports, and have a 'path' field where I store the absolute path of some images. I used the Graphic Location formula to change the image path for every record, as follows: formula = "C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\v2\catalogimages\"+{TestReport.¦ª¦Ø¦Ä¦É¦Ê : prodid}+"_1.jpg" The path is correct. When I use the same path in Explorer I get the image. However,

This way, scripts and automated build tools could accurately determine the path to the Sandcastle installation, without having to rely on the DXROOT environment variable (which is unreliable as it is only set for the user that instal

After quite a few hours(> 4 + ) waiting, it still did about 60% of extraction... and the process seemed dead.
I killed it a few times and re-executed it, it didn't work at all.
I rebooted my Windows XP several times. Still didn't work.
What's wrong
I am using MS Visual Studio 2005 Academic version.
