    - SQL Server 2005 Limitation: Having many attributes for Neural Network You should make the attributes you want to predict case level attributes and put all of the other attributes in a nested table which will be input only. For example "Friendly" and "Rich" will be case level attributes with values 0 or 1 and the other attributes will just be nested keys, e.g. something like this. Note that if you have the same user twice, you will need a different userid for each one to represent that user. Eg. Simon1 and Simon2 or whatever. Usually you can make a compound key by appending two columns (e.g. the name and the date). The only requirement is that the UserID in the case table and the UserID in the nested table match.     - Problem in Configuring ASPState DB for .NET 2.0 Hi, In the current production environment we have web applications running in asp.net 1.1 (win 2003 server) which uses ASPState DB for the session management. We are in the process of migrating few of the web application in asp.net 2.0. We would like to use the same ASPState DB for both 1.1 and 2.0 applications for maintaining the session. Problem that we are facing: After going through couple of article for configuring the ASPState DB, We ran the InstallPersistSqlState.sql of .net 2.0 framework (log information is given below). Though the sql has updated the existing ASPState DB with the stored procedure corresponding to asp.net 2.0, still we get the following error Exception: System.Web.HttpException Message: Unable to use SQL Server because ASP.NET version 2.0 Session State is not installed on the SQL server. Please install ASP.NET Session State SQL Server version 2.0 or above. For certain reasons, we are not able to use aspnetreg_sql.exe for setting up the ASPState database. Is there something that I am missing when I run InstallPersistSqlState.sql alone. Appreciate your help.     - Restoring Differentials from 2000 to 2005 Yes David. I did think of DTS/SSIS, however the volume of data thats going to be transferred and the speed at which it will be completed made me decide against it. I have around 2000 odd tables in my database and some of these tables have millions of records. A full restore of this db with my current hardware spec would be completed in 40 min(with differentials, this time would be cut to around 10).     - Help with an Outer Join Take a look at your WHERE clause: SELECT qad.NEW_USERS, qad.TRANSACTIONS, CONVERT( VARCHAR, qad.DATA_DATE, 101) DATA_DATE, qas.QA_SCORE FROM QA_SCORES qas FULL OUTER JOIN QA_DATA qad ON (qas.EMPLOYEE_ID = qad.EMPLOYEE_ID AND qas.QA_DATE >= @startDate AND qas.QA_DATE < @endDate) WHERE qad.DATA_DATE >= @startDate AND qad.DATA_DATE < @endDate ORDER BY qad.DATA_DATE This where clause will apply to all rows that are returned from the FROM clause. So you will not receive qas rows where the qad.DATA_DATE is not greater than @startDate. So any null rows would be eliminated from the set.     - SQL Express database in published web site I have been working with Visual Studio 2005 and the Personal Web Site Starter Kit. All is well and working. My problem is that after the database is updated (as in uploading photos and album creation) and the original web site is edited and republished, the web site database is overwritten and all the work is lost. What is the proceedure to either copy the web database to the development site on my computer so updates will not be lost, or a method of publishing that will not loose the up to date content on the web server I would much prefer to be able to copy the database to my development computer as adding tables to the database is something that needs to be done.     - A Simple Problem. But.... Hi Dale, I am making a call center application in two or three agents make outbound calls to customers. If there are 100 calls to be made then each of my agent sees these 100 entries and makes multiple calls to the same customer. I want that when an agent logs in then it should some fixed number of entries(say 25) and when another agent logs in then it should see entries not fetched earlier. In this way each agent will have different number for outbound call. I am not locking the records per se. In my main table I have a primary key. Without both to compare it is really impossible to say too confidently, but there are a couple of really large looking table scans (Clustered Index Scan = ordered table scan) followed by a hash match join. This kind of operation can be greatly affected by hardware performance/contention, as the hash match executes faster with more ram. I'm creating a small test package that copies a value from an Excel 2007 worksheet into a SQL 2005 database (SP2). When I do an Execute Task, I get the following error:

SSIS Error Code DTS_E_CANNOTACQUIRECONNECTIONFROMCONNECTIONMANAGER. The AcquireConnection method call to the connection manager \\lorip\MandEScorecards\SQLQueryExample.xlsx failed with error code 0xC0202009.

However, if I do a "Preview" in the Editor for this same Excel Source task that fails, the data comes up as I would expect. What am I missing

This error code is sometimes related to security issues. How are you running the package

Is this a 64-Bit Server

If is, there is an Article that show that SQL Server 2005 in 64-Bits don't give support to any OLE DB Transactions especially Excel.
