I have an Outlook Add-In installed on a customer's system that consumes a web service hosted on a web server in my network. The user is getting this error when attempting to use the Add-In: Web Acceleration Client Error (514) - Proxied HTTPS Request Not Supported.

Another user in the same office can use the Add-In without any problems. Both systems are out of a home office using a residential ISP.

I have already compared the two systems and cannot identify any significant differences. I can browse to the web service on both systems with no problems. I have already checked the firewall and the virus scan on the system that is not working.

The same Add-In is running on two additional systems on another network without problems. What are the recommended next steps for resolving this issue Help! Thanks in advance!

I would look at the network traffic using Microsoft Network Monitor, or tcptrace from http://www.pocketsoap.com. Compare the system that fails against the system that succeeds.

The problem is resolved. We unchecked the box next to "Use a proxy server for your LAN" in the LAN settings on the Connection tab in the browser internet tools.
